Role Description/Criteria


At St. Patrick's School, we are seeking a highly motivated and committed individual to join our team as a Learning Support Officer. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional support to students, teachers, and staff to enhance learning outcomes.




  • Be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic education system
  • Be committed to upholding the St. Patrick's Child Safety Policy and Staff Code of Conduct
  • Be highly motivated and committed to improving student learning
  • Possess the ability to take direction from the teacher(s) or leader(s) to provide the best support for students
  • Display effective communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, proactive, and resourceful
  • Be able to build positive relationships with students to assist in creating engaging learning environments
  • Be willing to work collaboratively, in genuine relationships with others, for the best outcomes for all stakeholders
  • Accept and use feedback to enhance personal learning and growth
  • Be open to innovation through reflection, questioning, and responding
  • Demonstrate friendliness, positivity, and enthusiasm in the role
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) model


Special Requirements:



  • A suitable qualification in Education Support or current enrolment in a teacher training course
  • A current Working With Children Card and National Police Check
  • A current First Aid certificate
