Cloud Platform Architect

About the Role:
The team is responsible for building and maintaining foundational infrastructure that powers cloud platforms.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead architecture, development, and optimization of internal platform services built on Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and automated platform services.
- Develop tools and frameworks to improve deployment, monitoring, security, and developer workflows.
- Drive adoption of modern infrastructure and software engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers in Kubernetes usage, platform reliability, and system design.
Key Technologies:
- Kubernetes (including deep knowledge of internals)
- AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
- BuildKite (CI/CD)
- Datadog, Prometheus (observability)
- PagerDuty (incident management)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in infrastructure engineering with leadership skills in large-scale systems.
- In-depth expertise in Kubernetes architecture and ecosystem.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, particularly in Go or Bash.
- Experience building platform components such as operators, admission controllers, or internal developer platforms.
Nice to Have:
- Contributions to Kubernetes or Kubernetes-related open source projects.
- Experience managing multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar certifications.
