This is a hands-on Mechanical Engineer role that offers the chance to join our growing Facilities Management Operations and Engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, designing, and budgeting Building Services across various partner organisations. This includes ensuring projects are completed within deadlines, scope, goals, and deliverables.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding the design, operation, maintenance, upgrade, replacement, or installation of mechanical building services.
- Review and provide feedback on design, tender, and/or as-built documentation to ensure alignment with partners' requirements and compliance with building codes and standards.
- Design and develop concept, detailed design, and/or tender documentation for upgrading, replacing, or installing mechanical building services.
- Conduct comprehensive site audits nationwide to document existing site conditions covering all building services and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements, along with budgetary costings.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on implementing and delivering projects.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering design, auditing, and delivery of related projects and activities.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Sound analytical thinking and engineering judgment, with an ability to think creatively when designing solutions.
- An industry-recognised accreditation (e.g., CPEng, RBP-ME) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in client service and report writing.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise with all levels within the organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- A team-first mindset and willingness to advance your own and others' growth.
- A full Australian driver's license as some travel may be required.
