Aeronautical Engineering Role Overview

This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and rewarding engineering program. Our team consists of experienced engineers who develop modifications, repairs, and continuing airworthiness services to support the fleet of aircraft in the Australian Defence Force.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems engineering and experience working on complex projects. They will be responsible for providing ongoing sustainment support for the existing E-7 fleet, including the development, review, approval, and certification of technical artefacts.

This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to the success of the Wedgetail Sustainment program. If you are passionate about aviation engineering and have a strong desire to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.

  • Develop and/or review root-cause analysis on E-7A fleet data to identify or evaluate trends and opportunities to increase dispatch reliability.
  • Interact with stakeholders from operators, contractors, the Defence Regulator, and aircraft OEM to support customer needs.
  • Lead engineering-based projects in support of Minor and Major Mechanical Projects.
  • Work towards gaining Engineering Authority and Delegations on the E-7 platform.
  • Provide onsite engineering support to deeper maintenance activities.
