Health and Safety Professional Role Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned health and safety professional to join our Technical Services team at Sydney Metro. As a key member of the team, you will contribute significantly to the overall effectiveness of our Health and Safety Risk management and Assurance functions.

To be successful in this role, you will need to leverage your expertise in risk assessments, evaluating critical risk treatment and assurance plans, and assessing the effectiveness of safety management system elements and action plans in large infrastructure projects. Your deep understanding of Rail Safety, construction Safety, Occupational Health, and Heavy Vehicle Safety requirements will enable you to influence senior leadership decisions by identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the effective management of Health and Safety risks.

We are seeking a proactive, analytical professional with a strong track record in driving safety outcomes in high-stakes environments. You will be responsible for contributing to the development of policy recommendations to improve safety performance across the organization.

  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of Health and Safety Risk management and Assurance functions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for policy development to enhance safety performance.
  • Leverage expertise in risk assessments, evaluating critical risk treatment and assurance plans.
  • Assess the effectiveness of safety management system elements and action plans.
  • Influence senior leadership decisions by identifying areas for improvement.
