Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Line Maintainer – Mechanical to join our team at Visy's Coburg plant in Victoria. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective utilisation and coordination of machinery under your control. Your primary goal will be to maintain equipment performance, product quality, and safety standards while working collaboratively with the Production Manager and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating Machinery: Ensure all equipment is functioning optimally and efficiently, adhering to production targets and safety protocols.
  • Quality Checks and Adjustments: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet manufacturing standards and make necessary adjustments as required.
  • Fixing Machine Breakdowns: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Responsible for Change Overs: Coordinate and execute smooth changeovers between production runs to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Forklift Duties: Perform forklift operations as needed to support production requirements and adhere to safe operating procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A trade qualification in Fitter/Turner, Toolmaker, or Motor Mechanic, or similar field.
  • Practical hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Sound mechanical aptitude and high trouble-shooting ability.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is AU$85,000 - AU$105,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
