Early Childhood Teacher/Team Leader Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Early Childhood Teacher/Team Leader to lead our dedicated team in delivering high-quality, developmentally and culturally responsive programs for children aged from birth to 5 years.

This leadership role involves overseeing the planning, delivery, and evaluation of engaging play-based programs in line with the Reggio Emilia educational approach, the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, and National Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs that promote child development and learning.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and professional support to early childhood educators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Oversee program documentation, assessments, and reporting to families.

You will be a committed early childhood professional with excellent leadership skills, ready to bring creativity, empathy, and expertise to our vibrant learning community.

Requirements:

  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in an early childhood setting.
  • In-depth understanding of early childhood development and the Reggio Emilia educational approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
