Your New Role

As a key member of our finance team, you'll manage financial transactions across our business, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and upholding our commitment to precision and innovation.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you'll contribute to process improvements, support a team aligned with the company's values, and work closely with the Financial Controller and other departments.

Your Day to Day

  • You'll accurately process high volumes of invoices across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • You'll verify the accuracy of invoice details, including amounts, account codes, and payment terms.
  • You'll establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, acting as the main point of contact for payment-related inquiries.
  • You'll perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements to ensure all accounts are accurate and balanced.
  • You'll prepare and process payment runs, including EFT, BPAY, and manual cheque payments, while monitoring cash flow.
  • You'll maintain accurate and well-organised records of invoices, reconciliations, and payments for audit and compliance purposes.
  • You'll work closely with the Financial Controller and other departments to ensure alignment on payment priorities and processes.
  • You'll regularly review records to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

What You Need

  • You'll have experience with accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • You'll have a solid understanding of financial processes, including reconciliations, vendor management, and payment preparation.
  • You'll have knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • You'll have strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy in reviewing and processing data.
  • You'll have exceptional communication skills to professionally interact with vendors and internal teams.
  • You'll be able to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • You'll have a resourceful approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
  • You'll be a team player with a collaborative and positive work ethic.
