About the Role

This position involves working with donors, assessing their eligibility, and ensuring the safe collection of blood products. You will be responsible for providing clinical oversight, guiding other team members, and managing adverse reactions.

  • Greet and interview potential donors
  • Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Manage adverse donor reactions

You will need to be flexible and able to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster. A current AHPRA registration and Bachelor of Nursing degree are required for this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer-facing skills and be able to work independently. The ability to occasionally lift heavy objects and frequently stand, walk, and bend is also necessary.

A valid driver's license and own vehicle are required for this position. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team that values diversity and inclusion.
