About this position, working in a Japanese Sushi restaurant provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in food preparation and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare ingredients – Select fresh fish, seafood, and sushi rice properly
- Craft sushi – Make nigiri, maki, and sashimi with precise techniques and presentation
- Ensure food safety – Maintain hygiene and proper storage to avoid contamination
- Engage with customers – Recommend dishes and provide a great dining experience
- Manage inventory – Track supplies and keep the kitchen organised
- Experience – Minimum 2 years proven skills in sushi preparation (nigiri, maki, sashimi)
- Knife Mastery – Precision cutting and filleting techniques
- Food Safety – Knowledge of hygiene and proper ingredient handling
- Teamwork – Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
