We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Region Services team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving large-scale programs and delivering successful outcomes for our customers and AWS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Manage high-profile programs across multiple supporting teams to deliver successful outcomes for our customers and AWS.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate bottlenecks, proactively seek solutions to problems, provide escalation management, and inform tradeoff decisions that benefit the program.
  • Communication: Earn trust through regular communication with senior management on program status and risks, demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner.
  • Influence and Leadership: Rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Own the metrics for project success and define, measure, and report on these metrics.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
  • Safety and Security: Demonstrate ownership to help improve the safety, security, and availability of our region operations.
Requirements
  • Technical Product or Program Management Experience: 3+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • Project Management Disciplines: 3+ years of experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
  • Experience Managing Programs: Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

The Region Service team provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions for our regions. We provide 'hands-on keyboard' support to our service teams by deploying changes into these isolated regions, monitoring the results, and reporting any issues that are observed.
