Horticultural Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Horticultural Specialist to join our team at NRM Environmental Jobs, NRM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in horticulture activities based in Cranbourne Gardens.

• Provide technical support for garden maintenance, living plant collections curation, turf care, plant records, plant health, biosecurity, and irrigation practices.
• Support landscape development projects, initiating and prioritizing tasks in consultation with Team Leader to achieve continual improvements across the Gardens.
• Contribute to the achievement of branch objectives and support the delivery of horticulture activities.

• A trade certificate or other relevant qualification in horticulture.
• Experience working in a large complex garden with a strong history of horticultural practices, plant identification, and curation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to record and monitor data and records, including maps and plant performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and deliver excellent customer service to site visitors.
