Service Technician

About the Role

AUTOrecruit is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join their team in Maryborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general repair of brake, steering, and suspension components, as well as conducting routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Key Responsibilities

- General repair of brake, steering, and suspension components
- Routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnostics using advanced tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Electrical installations and repairs, including battery replacements and wiring work
- Executing wheel alignments with precision
- Suspension upgrades and modifications
- Liaising with customers to explain repairs, provide estimates, and ensure satisfaction
- Maintaining accurate records of all service work and repairs
- Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulations
- Assisting in inventory management and maintaining workshop cleanliness

Requirements

- Certificate III in Automotive
- Experience as an automotive technician (1-2 years post-certification preferred)
- Proficient in wheel alignments and suspension systems
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Ability to work well in a team and a willingness to learn
- Full Australian Drivers' Licence (manual & automatic)
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
