About the Role

Melton City Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our community health services, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of vulnerable families and children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program to families in need, providing a child-centred and family-focused approach to support their health and wellbeing.
  • Assess the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and environmental health and wellbeing of individual children 0-3 years and their families, identifying areas of need and developing targeted support plans.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of targeted parent support groups, working collaboratively with other health professionals to provide comprehensive support to families.
  • Work closely with other council services and community organizations to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting vulnerable families and children.
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Midwife.
  • Experience in working in Maternal and Child Health and/or Enhanced Maternal and Child Health.
  • Experience with the use of CDIS IT Integrated Program or a willingness to learn.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
