Job Opportunity: Capability Uplift and Quality Assurance

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is seeking a senior professional to lead the development and coordination of capability uplift initiatives. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for driving quality care in aged care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and/or coordinate delivery of an annual capability workplan covering continuous professional development, master classes, cyclic training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives identified through quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support the delivery of cyclic Quality Assessor Training Program and supporting initiatives including coaching and competency-based training tools.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver capability uplift initiatives associated with aged care reforms.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the Commission's Quality Assessor Retention Strategy and associated action plan.
  • Ensure that evaluation and feedback is applied to continually refine training products.
  • Respond flexibly to quality assurance activities and endorsed recommendations requiring enhancements to planned capability program.
  • Manage a small team of direct reports.

  • Strategic thinking and analysis to align planned activities with priorities.
  • Well-developed public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and experience in project management.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • An ability to deliver commitments and focus on collaboration to achieve goals.
  • Understanding and compliance with legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.

Position Notes:

  • Salary range will be based on skills and experience.
  • Superannuation will be paid.
  • Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for varying periods.
