This is a short-term contract opportunity with the Queensland State Government.
We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Officer to join our team on an 8-week contract basis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Internal communications: writing for company newsletters, creating content for the intranet and staff messages.
- Social media: developing engaging content for social media platforms and preparing creative materials.
- General communications: writing external newsletters and website content.
- Media relations: drafting media releases, responding to inquiries, and monitoring media coverage.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar communications role.
- Proven skills in internal and external communications.
- Experience with media relations.
- Familiarity with web and digital multimedia tools would be advantageous.
