Job Overview

The Network Planning Team Leader will provide system planning leadership and commercial acumen for Jemena's electricity assets, customers, and the Asset and Operations team. This role involves building and maintaining planning and evaluation systems to ensure a reliable, stable network for all customers and connection types.

The successful candidate will lead the team to grow their competencies and evolve their operating systems to meet industry-changing expectations, future network strategies, and grid transformation requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop engineers through people leadership/management and/or mentor experience
  • Deliver System Planning to ensure reliability, capacity, and security of supply
  • Develop and execute strategy for physical electricity assets
  • Apply financial and program delivery acumen
  • Maintain compliance and reporting
About You
  • Possess strong technical knowledge
  • Hold experience in the electricity industry
  • Have experience operating in a competitive commercial environment
  • Display a vision for the future grid and advancements in technology
  • Demonstrate stakeholder, regulator, and customer liaison and influence skills
  • Show ability to write clearly and concisely to produce professional Board papers, business cases, and reports
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen
  • Hold experience in risk assessment and management techniques
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around AU$180,000 - AU$220,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
