The Department of Health, Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our team as a Staff Specialist-Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to make a meaningful contribution to the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality outpatient clinical care to children and adolescents with suspected neurodevelopmental or behavioural issues.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff within the multidisciplinary team in developmental paediatrics.
- Develop and implement sustainable practice partnerships for neurodevelopmental assessment and management of children and young people in Southern Tasmania.
- Provide leadership and drive the evolution of behavioural and developmental services for Tasmanian children and adolescents.
- Participate in statewide planning for neurodevelopmental services for Tasmanian children and adolescents.
- Deliver teaching and training to medical students and Paediatric trainees on the Tasmanian training program.
- Holds specialist registration or is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
- Experience in neurodevelopmental and/or community paediatrics.
