Job Title:

The Building Services Manager position requires a skilled professional to oversee the day-to-day operational requirements of the facility, ensuring smooth maintenance activities and compliance with legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate facility maintenance operations, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and need.
  • Develop and manage facility maintenance schedules to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage supplies and spare parts, overseeing procurement processes as necessary.
  • Implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure safety and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with contractors for service delivery and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Ensure statutory requirements are met for essential services, guaranteeing compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Oversee financial expenditures within agreed parameters, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Manage maintenance and minor building works, including site inspections and contract supervision.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Maintenance or Facilities Management role, preferably in hospitals or similar environments.
  • Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated expertise in facilities maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to work across trade areas within skill levels and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Possesses a General Construction Safety Card (White/Blue Card) and excellent communication skills.
