Regional Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead our Grain Operations team in QLD/NNSW.

About the Role

This key position will drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability and ownership across grain handling and storage facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Risk Management: ensuring compliance to safety standards and goals, Food safety standards; goals and Inventory Management;
  • Driving competitive excellence and continuous improvement culture across the region. Ensuring highly efficient site operations with a view to general operational expenses, labour management, energy reduction and grain quality control including shrink management;
  • Commercial focus ensuring farmer and end user customer requirements are top priority and that we are operationally ready to service their demand;
  • Lead talent management for the region, including operational training programs, engagement survey improvement, performance development plans, etc.;
  • Lead and manage the regional capital management program (CAPEX). Ensuring there is a focus on delivering projects safely, on time and in budget;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Functional Plan and Strategy for the storage and handling network with a focus on operational excellence.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5 years' experience in managing operations;
  • Superior leadership skills to remote teams;
  • Analytical and decision making skills;
  • Resilience to cope with and manage change;
  • Problem solving and project management skills;
  • Tertiary qualifications in business management, agricultural science, supply chain or a related discipline will be well regarded;
  • A valid Driver's License is a requirement for the role.
