We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Mining & Energy Sustaining Capital Projects team in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality inspections and assessments on mining assets for our tier 1 clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural integrity inspections for existing mining assets, and assess typical defects, such as impact damage, corrosion, non-compliance, and fatigue.
- Analyse static machinery and evaluate structural integrity.
- Prepare inspection reports and repair methodologies.
- Conduct risk analysis related to structural components.
- Comply with role specific SHEQ obligations and complete work in compliance with the relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design or in performing structural inspections. You will also bring the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Member of Engineers Australia.
- Familiarity with Mining process plant assets, NPI and Infrastructures.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering standards such as AS4324.1, AS1170, AS4100, AS3600.
- Sound understanding of asset management, materials handling equipment, and civil works.
- Ability to frequently travel to mine sites and work in remote areas.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid WA C-class driver's license and construction white card.
