Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Social Care Coordinator at Respect Aged Care. This is a permanent full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, high organisation, and problem-solving abilities.

Our focus is on giving back to older adults by fostering communities of belonging. We have multiple homes and thousands of residents and employees across Victoria, New South Wales, and Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Delivery: Ensure the efficient delivery and continual review of resident-focused therapy, social, and recreational activities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and organise the social care staff and volunteers.
  • Community Engagement: Foster and promote social connectedness and actively engage and liaise with the local community, community groups, schools, and sporting organisations.
  • Facilitation: Facilitate resident meetings and encourage participation in planning and program development.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain social care inventory and other resources. Control stock and undertake periodic audits as required.
  • Clinical Records: Maintain appropriate clinical records, statistics, and register of programs and attendance.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to facility management meetings and assist with strategic social care planning.
  • Professional Development: Participate in relevant professional development and mandatory training as required.
  • Volunteer Program: Implement a vibrant and integrated volunteer program which ensures community engagement and encourages resident participation.
  • Budget Management: Ensure that social care expenditure is in accordance with approved guidelines.
  • Policies and Compliance: Ensure social care staff and volunteers are made aware of their policy, legislative, and other relevant compliance obligations.
