Job DescriptionJob Title: Faculty Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Faculty Director to lead our team of educators and support staff in delivering high-quality vocational training programs. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support the professional standing and overall educational effectiveness of our faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement strategies to support the professional standing and overall educational effectiveness of the faculty.
- Maintain accountability for all delivery and business outcomes within the faculty and develop strategic direction in line with national and state agendas.
- Participate as a senior member of the management team and remain focused on determining and achieving the Region's strategic objectives.
- Lead the development and management of operational plans, including approved delivery hours, performance variations, revenue and expenditure budgets, staffing budgets, and financial year delivery plans.
- Utilize all available research and modelling tools to analyze data and examine market/policy and industry trends to assist in forecasting future business potential.
- Analyze TAFE Queensland strategic policies and develop strategies to implement these within the Region.
- Develop strategic and business plans involving the effective and efficient management of financial, human, physical, and intellectual resources.
- Approve significant deviations from approved costing models to meet market, social, and/or political agendas.
- Foster innovation and develop strategies to manage the product cycle and implement new products as required according to industry demand.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant professional associations, other educational institutions, government departments, industry, and commercial organizations.
- Plan and implement business improvement and innovation strategies, and business and service level agreement planning and development in conjunction with the Directors of work streams.
- Maintain accountability for the overall policy standards within the Region that relate to Vocational Education and Training (VET) delivery, ensuring the highest standard of student learning and client satisfaction.
- Directly manage, lead, and motivate staff within the delivery team, encompassing performance development, monitoring professional development activities, recruitment and selection, and resolving industrial relations issues.
- Continuously promote new ways of improving efficiency by reducing cost and enhancing outcomes.
- Provide leadership on individual and team performance and future goals.
- Manage communication and actively engage with industry, business, and the community.

- Strong management expertise in identifying and building key talent, steering and implementing change, recognizing opportunities for product improvement, and delivering results on time, within budget.
- Proven ability to act professionally at all times and take personal responsibility for goal achievement.

Desirable Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, or Management, or a qualification of a discipline relevant to the role.
- Industry experience at a senior level.
- Proven past performance in developing and managing high-performing teams, stakeholder management, and a high level of independent judgment.
- Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to develop strong relationships across the organisation and with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to positively influence outcomes.
