Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team at Catholic Education Western Australia.

About the Role

As a Residential Care Worker, you will be part of a dynamic team providing supervision and guidance to residential high school students in our co-educational boarding house.

Our boutique boarding program offers opportunities for students of Aboriginal descent from remote Western Australian Communities to be part of our Lasallian community in Middle Swan.

You will play a key role in providing a safe and vibrant home away from home for students under your care, positively contributing to their spiritual, personal, social, and emotional development.

In all your interactions, you will be a role model of our College's values of faith, service, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and guidance to residential high school students
  • Work as part of a team to create a safe and supportive living environment
  • Support the spiritual, personal, social, and emotional development of students
  • Model our College's values of faith, service, and excellence

Selection Criteria

  • Current Working with Children Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to the spiritual and social needs of the Aboriginal Culture
  • Flexibility in working hours with the ability to live in residence during rostered shifts, including overnight shifts
  • Hold or willingness to undertake a Senior First Aid Certificate and School Teacher Aquatic Rescue Training
  • MR Bus Licence with PTA Authorisation (highly desirable)
