Job Title: Metal Fabricators

Our client, Peakline Pty Ltd, is a leading steel fabrication and design construction firm based in Alice Springs. They specialize in structural steel projects, including verandas, carports, sheds, fencing, automatic gates, and custom fabrications like Ute trays and heavy-duty off-road trailers.

They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Metal Fabricators to join their dynamic team. If you have a strong background in metal fabrication and welding and are committed to quality and precision, they want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Perform welding, cutting, casting, and fabrication of steel to meet project requirements.
  • Operate fabrication equipment (shears, brakes, rollers, welding machines) to produce high-quality steel components.
  • Accurately source, cut, and prepare steel materials to meet project specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble metal components to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Conduct MIG, TIG, and stick welding to produce high-quality welds.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure employee well-being and project success.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed to minimize downtime and ensure project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant trade qualification in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in metal fabrication and welding.
  • Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Able to read and understand technical documents and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality products.
  • Physically fit to handle heavy materials and equipment.
