Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking an experienced Daycare Assistant to join our team at a small but busy local daycare centre in the Yarrabah area.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in childcare and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with the Daycare Manager and other relevant staff to ensure the centre is running smoothly and is consistent with Legislative requirements and guidelines.
- Providing high-quality childcare services to children aged 0-5 years.
- Developing and implementing educational programs that meet the needs of children.
- Collaborating with community, non-government and government services to provide comprehensive support to children and their families.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to have:
- A current open driver's license.
- A current open Blue Card.
- Child Care Diploma or Certificate 3 in Children's services or Administrative accreditation, including financial management.
- Familiarity with the NQF, Education & Care Services Act 2013 (QLD), Education Care Services National Law (QLD) Act 2011.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with evidence of self-management, time management, priority and achieving planned outcomes.
- Wide knowledge of and the ability to network and collaborate with community, non-government and government services.
- Demonstrated Experience working with Aboriginal & Islander Children 0-5 years and their families.
- Professional knowledge and experience in the delivery of Children's Services, including knowledge of childcare philosophy and childcare practices for the 0-5 year age group.
