Job Role:

We are seeking a Provisional Psychologist or Psychologist to join our Family Violence Counselling and Support Services team.

This position involves providing psychological services and support to children, young people and their families who have experienced family violence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering specialist psychological services and therapeutic support to children and young people recovering from the effects of family violence trauma.
  • Providing appropriate interventions within family violence, trauma and attachment frameworks in line with evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic models.
  • Conducting assessments of children, young people and their families using standardised methods.
  • Offering case management services and referrals as necessary.

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Hold a Working with Children Registration.
