The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Burleigh Heads Bakery Team. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance fitters and operators to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner, enabling the achievement of Operational outcomes for the site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
  • High level of technical and diagnostic skills including fault finding of electrical circuits and PLC programs
  • Participate in the repairs and preventive maintenance of all site plant and equipment
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices
  • Assist with other duties to ensure the effective operation of the maintenance team
  • Identifying and resolving equipment reliability and improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with operations personnel to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner

Requirements
  • Electrical Trade Certificate/License
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal and written
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety, health and the environment
