As a Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately coding episodes using ICD-10-AM in accordance with Australian Coding Standards and relevant state and national advice.

Main Duties:

  • Coding episodes using ICD-10-AM Classification system
  • Ensuring all coding is completed in a timely manner
  • Participating in documentation improvement and revenue optimisation activities
  • Participating in Coding audit activities as required

About You:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Experience and demonstrated excellence in Clinical Coding using ICD-10-AM Classification system across broad Casemix for a period of at least 3 years
  • Strong Computer literacy
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values
