About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our team at St John of God Berwick Hospital. As a key member of our maternity unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with senior staff as needed.
- Promote effective communication and teamwork within the ward and hospital.
- Provide patient education and act as a resource for patients and families.
- Support and supervise staff and students, including orienting and preceptoring new staff.
- Contribute to the achievement of hospital and clinical services operational objectives.
Requirements
- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered/Nurse Midwife.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
