Health and Safety Leadership Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Leadership Consultant to join our team and contribute to creating a safe and healthy work environment for departmental staff.
As part of the WHS team in the OHSWU, you will work closely with other stakeholders to identify and control operational health and safety hazards and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.

About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles and legislation;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders;
- Proven experience in developing and implementing health and safety management systems; and
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
We require someone who can provide strategic advice and guidance on health and safety matters, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support safe working practices.
You will also be responsible for managing the department's online hazard and incident reporting system, and providing risk management advice and support to stakeholders.
In addition, you will conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential health and safety hazards, and develop plans to mitigate them.
