Medical Specialist for Rural Outback Regions

The Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations is a renowned medical service provider with over 90 years of experience in delivering high-quality healthcare to the people of Western Australia. As a leading organization in the industry, we offer a unique opportunity for a skilled Medical Practitioner to join our team and contribute to our mission.
This residential role is based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, a city located in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment providing a wide range of clinical services, including aeromedical retrieval, telemedicine, flying medical clinics, and indigenous health. With a strong focus on emergency medicine, anaesthesia, and acute paediatrics, this role requires a Medical Practitioner who can independently manage critically ill and injured patients.
Key qualifications for this position include:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
- A minimum of five years of postgraduate experience
- Significant experience in emergency medicine, anaesthesia, and acute paediatrics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable qualities for this role include:
- ACEM/ANZCA/CICM/FACRRM or FRACGP or equivalent qualifications
- Obstetric experience
- Primary health care experience
- Experience in pre-hospital or retrieval medicine
- Experience in regional or remote medical practice
