About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our team as a Medical Officer. In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing customer medical information and providing expert analysis and recommendations. Your expertise will help us assess new business applications and manage claims effectively.
You'll work closely with our underwriters and claim staff to gather and interpret medical information, using your clinical knowledge and experience to provide evidence-based reviews. Your insights will be invaluable in helping us make informed decisions about policy applications and claims.
Key Accountabilities- Conduct timely and thorough medical reviews of customer information during underwriting and at the time of claim.
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations on medical information, considering regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Support liaison with treating parties and reinsurers on specific cases, as needed.
- Represent the Medical Team in business-as-usual engagements with assigned business units.
- Provide insights and data on health-related factors observed during medical reviews to inform our health strategy.
- A medical degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and ability to make well-reasoned, evidence-based decisions.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
