
Government Relations Liaison

The Government Relations Liaison plays a pivotal role in driving government relations for our organisation. This involves preparing and coordinating high-quality information and responses to critical requests, ensuring that the needs of key government stakeholders are met with precision.
This includes working closely with government departments and agencies, and external committees to develop succinct briefings and deliver impactful results.

We are a volunteer-based agency supporting communities. Our mission is to save lives and create safer communities through emergency response and preparedness.
We have over 10,000 volunteers who are highly skilled, experienced, and well-trained in various roles. We serve the community as the lead agency for Floods, Storms, and Tsunamis, recognised as the most versatile and widely used emergency service organisation.
About You:
- You will possess qualifications or significant relevant experience in Communications, Government, or a related field with strong knowledge of government relations.
- You will demonstrate proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be a strong communicator with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- You will apply strategic thinking to manage complex and sensitive issues and provide clear, concise advice.
