About this role

  • We are seeking an experienced Email Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of email architecture, mailbox management, transport rules, and compliance features.
  • The Email Administrator will be responsible for providing support and management of email services, utilizing PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks and enhance the efficiency of Microsoft 365 implementations.
  • They will ensure the security and compliance of Microsoft 365 environments, staying updated with the latest developments in Microsoft 365 and email technologies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the Email Administrator will need to communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects and fulfillment of client requirements.

Your profile

  • A deep understanding of email architecture, mailbox management, transport rules, and compliance features.
  • Experience with PowerShell for email administration (e.g., ExchangeOnlineManagement module).
  • Knowledge of mail flow, connectors, and hybrid configurations.
  • Experience configuring and managing email hybrid deployments using the Hybrid Configuration Wizard (HCW).
  • Understanding of coexistence scenarios, free/busy sharing, and mailbox moves between on-prem and cloud.
  • Proficiency with Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
  • Experience with Modern Authentication, OAuth, and Conditional Access Policies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview (formerly Compliance Center), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Retention Policies, and eDiscovery.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API is a plus.
  • Use of tools like Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Message Trace, Service Health Dashboard, and email online PowerShell for diagnostics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot email flow, client connectivity, and sync issues.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications

  • NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory for this role.
  • MICROSOFT CERTIFIED: EMAIL ADMINISTRATOR ASSOCIATE is desirable.
  • MICROSOFT CERTIFIED: SECURITY, COMPLIANCE, AND IDENTITY FUNDAMENTALS is desirable.
  • MICROSOFT CERTIFIED: MICROSOFT 365 CERTIFIED: ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATOR EXPERT is desirable.
