About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our team at Rydges Hobart. As a key member of our hotel's operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization across the property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including staff management and quality control.
  • Roster and manage the housekeeping team, ensuring wage costs are tracked and aligned with budget and forecasted business levels.
  • Procure cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping-related inventory, managing budgets and controlling expenses.
  • Maintain exceptional guest service by conducting daily walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness meets brand standards.
  • Manage the recruitment and ongoing training of all housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with WHS regulations and chemical safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a hands-on role with a high level of service standard across the department.
  • Experience in controlling and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and payroll functions, along with operating supplies, replacements, and consumables.
  • Previous experience working with Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, driving employee engagement, development, and productivity.
  • Demonstrated understanding of WHS standards and experience leading adherence to policies and procedures in creating a safe working environment.
  • Excellent personal presentation and a high level of professionalism.
