Job Opportunity: Mechanical Fitters

We are seeking experienced mechanical fitters to join our workshop team in Newcastle, NSW. The successful candidates will work on a variety of projects, including the design, manufacturing, and overhaul of equipment such as flameproof enclosures, and transformer manufacture/repair components.

The role requires a Mechanical Trade Qualification in Fitting or equivalent experience, with at least 3-4 years of experience in a workshop environment. C Class Driver's license and First Aid Certificate (desirable) are also required.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive hourly rate between $42.00 - $50.00 + Super + OT
  • Monday - Thursday day AND afternoon shifts available
  • Fully equipped facilities

Reporting to the Workshop Managers, you will work alongside a skilled team of Mechanical professionals, ensuring seamless coordination of projects and maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

**About the Roles**

Our clients have multiple permanent full-time positions available across three different roles. Each role offers unique opportunities for professional growth and development.

**Role #1: Modern Manufacturing Facility**

Based in Tomago, New South Wales, this facility specialises in the design, manufacturing, and overhaul of equipment such as flameproof enclosures, and transformer manufacture/repair components. The role includes working in a modern manufacturing facility with fully equipped facilities.

**Role #2: OEM Facility**

Located in Beresfield, New South Wales, this OEM facility specialises in the design, manufacturing, and overhaul of pneumatic equipment, including pumps and drills. The role includes working in a dynamic and innovative organisation with Monday - Friday (40HR Weeks).

**Role #3: Workshop Team**

With in-house training on offer, the workshop team specialises in filtration, grinding mills, fixed plant and equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs for filtration cells and thickeners. The role includes working in a fully equipped facility with Monday - Friday (38HR Weeks).
