Job Title: Release Lead

About the Role:

You will champion Agile ways of working across multiple squads, collaborating with Product Owners, Analysts and Delivery Leads to convert business initiatives into cross-platform releases of new technology features or enhancements.

Your role will support the implementation of best practices in asset and services development, enabling squads to rapidly, reliably and efficiently develop, test and release high-quality solutions that deliver value for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and influence squads to transform release processes to improve delivery efficiency.
  • Manage inter-technology area dependencies to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and owner of the change and delivery process across the organization.
  • Provide release management as a service to stakeholders.
  • Promote planned releases to ensure full visibility by all stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the release management framework.
  • Coach and educate less experienced parties on release management best practices.
  • Facilitate and lead agile release planning sessions.
  • Negotiate release schedules across platforms.
  • Oversee the approval and management of deployment activities into production.

Requirements:

  • Experience in scheduling work to optimize workflow/throughput through multiple Technology Areas.
  • Dev-ops understanding, including CI/CD Pipeline knowledge.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management experience.
  • Understanding of the release process and how it's applied across squads/tribes.
  • Able to understand technology principles and tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with cross-platform/cross tribe integration testing.
  • Ability to coordinate end-to-end delivery across multiple technology areas.
