About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Avivo team as an HR Coordinator, supporting the People Team's daily operations and contributing to the delivery of exceptional employee experiences.

As an HR Coordinator, you will provide general administrative assistance, maintain employee records, ensure compliance with employment clearances, and support various HR processes. You will handle data entry, create reports, and contribute to system upgrades and ongoing development of HR databases.

Under the guidance of the People Team/HR Lead, you will receive support in prioritizing tasks and responding to general HR inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to HR, including preparing employee contracts and letters for changes in employment conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with reference checks, clearances, and licenses for new and existing employees, including NDIS and Working with Children checks.
  • Maintain employee records, assist in audits, and support payroll, recruitment, and data systems.
  • Respond to general HR inquiries, redirect calls, and ensure accurate information flow to payroll.
  • Assist with HR projects, data collection, and continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
What We Need From You
  • Qualification or working towards one in HR, Business, or relevant discipline (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Experience in the community sector (or some awareness of) is desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and exposure to, recruitment and workforce retention processes and practices.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a close-knit team
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
  • Experience in Aurion and/or Pulse software system (desirable)
