Rex Airlines is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as full time solo flight attendants based in Brisbane. This role offers a great work-life balance, competitive remuneration and includes working on weekends, public holidays, shift work (which includes early starts & late finishes), and some nights spent away from home.

Job Description

Solo Flight Attendants will be responsible for managing the entire cabin independently, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight. They will also provide a caring and personalised service while travelling to some of Australia's most unique destinations.

Responsibilities
  • Managing equipment and security checks
  • Making in-flight announcements
  • Providing in-flight food & beverage service
  • Cleaning duties
  • Handling various situations that may occur in the cabin, on your own
Requirements
  1. Be 18 years of age or over
  2. Have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  3. Be no taller than 173 cm
  4. Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
  5. Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  6. Be able to demonstrate one of the following:
  • Completed a minimum 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand
  • Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years
  • Worked in the UK, Ireland or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years
  • Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5
Be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security checkHave experience in customer serviceBe able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating deviceBe flexible; working hours will vary and include working during holiday times and peak periodsHave a high level of personal presentationHave a natural willingness to please and care for people

Extensive training will be provided; flying experience is not required.
