The successful candidate will be offered an attractive competitive salary, reflecting the high level of expertise and qualifications required for this role. Based on industry standards and market conditions, we estimate the annual salary to be around $95,000-$110,000, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Procurement Officer to join our esteemed team working on the Lismore Restoration project. As a key member of our Flood Restoration Portfolio, you will oversee contractor, subcontractor, and supplier procurement processes, ensuring the project attains its procurement objectives while optimizing engagement within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice on procurement and contract management-related matters across the Portfolio.
  • Conduct and support the procurement process, using best practices and judgment to make decisions on procurement and contract-related activities that are fundamental to the portfolio's operations.
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing written material, including reports, contracts, and procurement documentation.
  • Assist with delivering procurement and contract management training to team members to build capability and capacity in the line areas, including preparing policies, guides, templates, and procedures.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to contract negotiations and selection.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificate Level 4 qualification and extensive experience in procurement activities and documentation preparation.
  • Strong understanding of procurement systems and processes and developing procedures and processes.
  • Sound working knowledge of local government legislative requirements about procurement activities.
  • Current Class C Driver's License.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and flexible.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
