About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Spice AI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing big data, distributed, blockchain, and machine learning systems using modern tech stacks in Golang and Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-performance and scalable architecture to meet the evolution and needs of our rapidly growing platform.
  • Work with our founders to design the technical roadmap and architecture to deliver lasting value to customers.
  • Collaborate with our team of experienced engineers to build and maintain our Data & AI Platform.
  • Contribute to the development of our Cloud Platform, including managed, cloud-scale OSS.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and shipping production data and/or machine learning runtimes and distributed systems.
  • Experience with real-time and batch big data sets and platforms, ideally TB.
  • Solid understanding of modern data stacks, ideally in Spark, dbt, Dremio, Apache Iceberg, and Arrow.
  • Proficiency in Golang (Rust, C++, and Python experience are a bonus).
  • A track record of good design, architectural, engineering, and product decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
