Brooks Hire is a leading provider of heavy-duty equipment hire services across Australia, with a strong presence in the civil and mining industries.

We are currently seeking a skilled Trades Assistant/Detailer of Heavy-Duty Equipment to join our team in Darwin, NT.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the cleaning and detailing of our extensive fleet of earthmoving equipment, ensuring they are in pristine condition for our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Detail and clean equipment to the required standards, working efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Identify and report any issues or defects to your supervisor, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order, adhering to our high standards of safety and quality.
  • Assist tradesmen with various tasks as required, providing support and expertise to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
  • Previous detailing experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Previous experience working with heavy-duty equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Forklift/High Risk Work Licenses desirable.
  • Understanding of OH&S regulations.
  • Ability to pass a Medical, including a Drug & Alcohol test.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
