About the Role

As a Senior Chef at Calvary Health Care, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals to meet the individual needs of our residents. This is a part-time permanent position, working 5 days a fortnight including Saturdays and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily meals and beverages that cater to special dietary requirements, allergies, and culturally specific needs.
  • Support service delivery under the direction of the Home Manager/Chef Manager or Chef.
  • Monitor and suggest actions to continuously improve food service.
  • Ensure residents' IDDSI, special dietary requirements, allergies, and culturally specific meals are catered for.
  • Maintain environmental service standards and ensure the residents' living environment is safe and clean.
About You

We are seeking a candidate with knowledge of IDDSI and nutritional guidelines, as well as the ability to cook meals in line with planned menus. Completion of HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices or willingness to obtain is also required. Effective interpersonal communication and working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control are essential skills for this role.
