As a hands-on leader, you will take the lead on the largest and most complex engineering challenges, ensuring open communication and collaboration across engineering teams. You will set the standard for high-quality code reviews and drive continuous improvement across the platform, including reducing build time, increasing deployment frequency, and improving resilience.
You will also actively mentor other engineers from within the team, helping to develop their skills and expertise. We are looking for someone with a strong track record of leadership in software engineering, with expertise in TypeScript, Aurora, and other AWS technologies.
About the TeamOur Business Banking Technology team is responsible for delivering innovative technology solutions to support our business banking customers. We are a collaborative and dynamic team, working closely with our business colleagues to jointly solve problems and deliver business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities- Provide overall engineering leadership for the platform, including software, systems, quality, and site reliability.
- Take the lead on the largest and most complex engineering challenges.

- Actively mentor other engineers from within the team.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineering leader.
- Expert-level and hands-on experience in TypeScript, Aurora, and other AWS technologies.
- Experience building public APIs that support mission-critical applications.
- Experience building secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native applications.
- Experience in leadership roles, with a strong track record of delivering business outcomes.
- Ability to contribute to strategy and architecture, and translate this into pragmatic engineering design decisions.
- Ideal experience in Financial Services, Payments, or related domains.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or similar experience.
