### Job Title: Behaviour Support Practitioner - NDIS

### Job Summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in south west Sydney. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting NDIS participants and their families to identify their needs and develop evidence-based support plans.

### Key Responsibilities

* Support NDIS participants and their families to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
* Evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
* Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using the positive behaviour support framework
* Ensure individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths
* Build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners

### About you

* Considerable experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered NDIS provider or have obtained suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level via the self-assessment application pathway with the NDIS Commission
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Genuine passion for working in the disability sector and mentoring less experienced practitioners
* Solution-focused, proactive attitude, and motivated by improvement and learning

### Qualifications

* Current suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at the Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
* Completion of a degree-level qualification in an allied health discipline is an advantage but not essential
