About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Designer to join our National CAD and Digital Engineering Team in Brisbane, Australia. As a key member of our Water Utilities, Water Treatment and Water Asset Management & Planning team, you will play a critical role in enhancing our capabilities and reputation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural drafting, project experience in infrastructure structures across water networks and treatment projects, and expertise in Autodesk Advance Steel, Revit, and BIM coordination. You will be responsible for generating and maintaining federated BIM-compliant models, ensuring clash detection and reporting, as well as database management and manipulation in alignment with client BIM and CAD standards.

About You

We value diverse strengths and are seeking Mechanical Technologists or Senior Mechanical Technologists with proven experience in the water, mining, or industrial sectors. Depending on your background, you will have:

  • Proven structural drafting experience, project experience in infrastructure structures across water networks and treatment projects an advantage.
  • Strong Autodesk Advance Steel, Revit, and BIM coordination experience are essential.
  • Proven ability to adapt to evolving technology.
  • Mechanical drafting (Plant 3D) experience is highly regarded.
  • Dynamo or coding experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience working in a design consulting environment highly regarded.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm coupled with a passion for the water & construction industries.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to speak and write clearly and concisely.
  • Teamwork - works collaboratively with others including across functional groups.
