Engineering Management Role

This is a full-time position based at our site.

  • Leading the Maintenance team to ensure effective operation of the site to maximise efficiency and cost.
  • Effectively managing maintenance activities within allocated costs.
  • Managing all service contractors to comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance and shutdowns as required to achieve key performance indicator targets.
  • Developing an engineering and maintenance strategy including timeframes to deliver best practice maintenance systems.
  • Co-ordinating the maintenance function to optimise the availability and productivity of plant and equipment (overall equipment effectiveness improvements).
  • Establishing and managing spare parts stock levels.
  • Working with key stakeholders to identify and implement operational improvement projects.
  • Participating in, and supporting, operational improvement projects in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Implementing the preventative maintenance program.
Key Requirements:
  • Tertiary/formal qualifications in mechanical engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years maintenance/engineering management experience within an industrial or manufacturing operations environment.
  • Experience in successfully leading a maintenance team & the ability to drive/improve a strong culture.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • Sound understanding of computerised maintenance management systems (preferred).
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and knowledge of wide variety of equipment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilience, with an ability to work with stakeholders to get the job done safely, and to the right standard.
  • An eye for continuous improvement and motivation to create change to improve processes.
