Job Opportunity: Swimming Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a swimming instructor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with children and adults, teaching them various swimming techniques and promoting water safety.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver high-quality swimming lessons, ensuring that students achieve their goals and develop a lifelong love for swimming. In addition to teaching, the instructor will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment in the pool area.

  • Deliver swimming lessons to students of varying skill levels
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Contribute to the development of lesson plans and curriculum
  • Ensure the pool area remains safe and clean at all times
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • AUSTSWIM Accreditation certificate - Teacher of swimming and water safety
  • Teacher of competitive strokes (highly regarded)
  • Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion (highly regarded)
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and afternoons
