Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager to join our collaborative delivery team in Tamworth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Environment Agency projects, providing technical advice on construction projects, and building relationships with clients and teams.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the design process and management, site experience involving planning and managing civil engineering projects, and proficiency in Microsoft Project and NEC contracts.

They must also have excellent communication skills, technical report writing ability, and the ability to produce and maintain contractually compliant construction programmes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Building and sustaining positive working relationships with clients and teams
• Monitoring and influencing the performance of contracts issued under the EA's Collaborative Delivery Framework
• Supporting the development of business opportunities and proactively managing relationships for a range of clients
• Providing support and assistance to all departments within the organisation
• Providing considered technical advice for construction projects, including buildability, health and safety, and sustainability issues
• Managing involvement in construction schemes efficiently and effectively, regarding budget, forecast, programme, and profit
• Developing method statements, hazard risk assessments, and project management plans
• Monitoring contract costs against agreed budgets and providing accurate financial reports
• Preparing and monitoring programmes of work and assessing and engaging sub-contractors
